The short version. We operate no accounts, cloud save, analytics service or developer-controlled server. Your saved game, statistics and settings are stored on your device and are not uploaded by us.
The App uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google's advertising software automatically processes certain device, advertising, interaction and diagnostic information. We receive aggregated reports from Google, and we receive your email address and message only if you choose to contact us. The App also uses Firebase Crashlytics to send us crash reports. Details and privacy controls are set out below.
Spider Solitaire Classic (the “App”) is developed and published by an individual developer using the developer name Golden Garuda Studios (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App handles, where it goes, and what you can do about it. It applies to the App only.
We are responsible for choosing to include advertising. Google processes data through its advertising systems under its own policies, linked in section 4.
We operate no account system, cloud save, developer-controlled server or analytics service. The App does not directly send us your name, email address, saved game, statistics or settings.
If the App crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (a Google service) sends us a crash report so we can fix the fault. It contains technical information only: the stack trace, device model, operating system version, the App's version, whether the App was in the foreground, and a randomly generated installation ID. It does not contain your game, your email address or your name. We use it only to find and fix crashes. See Firebase privacy information.
Google Play and AdMob may provide us with aggregated or platform reports, such as install and device trends, app stability, ad impressions, ad interactions and ad revenue. We use those reports to operate and improve the App and its advertising.
If you email us, we receive the email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it only to respond, provide support, protect our legal rights or meet a legal obligation, and retain it only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.
So that you can put the game down and pick it up again, the App writes the following to its own private storage on your device:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your game in progress — board, score, moves and elapsed time | So an interrupted game is still there when you come back |
| Your statistics — games played and won, streaks, level and XP | So your own record survives between sessions |
| Your settings — background, card face, card back, difficulty, sound, vibration, orientation and the rest | So the game looks and behaves the way you left it |
This is app-private storage: other apps normally cannot read it, we cannot access it remotely, and the App does not upload it. It remains until the App overwrites it, you clear the App's storage, or you uninstall the App. There is no cloud save or account, and the App switches Android's automatic backup off, so this data is not copied to your Google account by Android backup.
The App shows ads supplied by Google AdMob, in three places:
Google's software inside the App automatically collects and shares information for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention and security. According to Google's disclosure for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, this includes:
Google states that information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Google may process, transfer and store information outside the country where you live. What Google does with it, including its retention and international-transfer safeguards, is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and by How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Apart from Google Mobile Ads, Google's User Messaging Platform and Firebase Crashlytics, the App contains no other third-party SDK. There is no analytics, social-network, attribution or separate tracking SDK.
We do not sell personal information for money. The advertising processing described above may be treated as “sharing”, targeted advertising or a “sale” under some privacy laws even though we are paid for displaying ads rather than for a list of user data. The controls in section 5 let you manage applicable advertising choices.
Where applicable law requires consent, our basis for requesting advertising is the choice recorded through Google's consent platform. Where consent is not required, we rely on our legitimate interest in supporting and protecting the free App through advertising, subject to your rights and applicable law.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App asks for your applicable advertising choices using Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. Depending on your choices, applicable law and Google's ad-serving requirements, Google may serve personalised, non-personalised or limited ads, or an ad may not be available.
Where Google requires the option to be available, you can review or change your advertising privacy choices from Settings → Privacy Options in the App. A changed choice applies to later ad requests; it does not recall an ad that has already been requested.
Advertising availability affects only the second joker used in the same game. If no ad can be requested or shown, the first joker is granted anyway; a second joker waits until an ad can be shown. All other gameplay remains available.
Wherever you live, Android itself gives you control of the advertising ID. Under Settings → Privacy → Ads — the exact path varies by device and Android version — you can reset or delete the ID. Google notes that limited-ad features may also prevent the ID and certain other data from being transmitted.
Data protection law in many places gives you the right to see, correct, delete or export personal data, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. These rights depend on where you live and may be subject to legal exceptions. In practice:
If you think we have handled something wrongly, write to us at the address in section 9. You are also entitled to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
The App is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. This target audience is separate from the App's content rating, which reflects the game itself: there is no chat, user-generated content, real-money gambling or social feature in it. The audience is narrower than the rating because the App shows advertising and uses the advertising ID, which is not a configuration we are willing to point at younger children.
We do not knowingly request or directly collect personal information from children under 13. Google Mobile Ads may process information as described in section 4. If we learn that a child under 13 has sent personal information directly to us, we will delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
If you are a parent or guardian with a concern about a child's use of the App, contact us and we will help however we can.
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page and the effective date at the top changes with it. If a change is a significant one — a new kind of data leaving your device, say — we will say so in the App's release notes rather than let it pass quietly.
