The short version. The game is free, it is yours to play on your own devices, and it is not yours to copy or sell. Some deals cannot be won — that is Spider, not a fault. Jokers are part of the game, not property, and nothing in the App costs money. We cannot promise the game is perfect, and nothing here takes away a right your local law gives you.
By downloading, installing or using Spider Solitaire Classic (the “App”), published by an individual developer using the developer name Golden Garuda Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the App — and if you have already installed it, uninstalling it ends this agreement.
The App is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. Its target audience is separate from its content rating, which reflects the game itself and is suitable for any age; the audience is narrower because the App shows advertising. Our Privacy Policy explains how advertising and personal information are handled. If you are under the age at which you can agree to terms like these on your own, you may use the App only with the agreement of a parent or guardian.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment. That licence is the whole of what you receive: you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sub-licence, decompile or reverse-engineer the App or any part of it, or create derivative works from it, except to the extent the law expressly says you may regardless of this clause.
The App and everything in it — its name, code, artwork, card designs, sounds and text — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. The rules of Spider itself are a traditional card game in the public domain; this implementation of them is not.
Deals are generated at random and are not filtered for winnability. As in the traditional card game, some deals — more of them at higher difficulty — genuinely cannot be won by any sequence of moves. We make no guarantee that a particular deal is solvable.
Hints and auto-complete are helpful guesses, not a solver. A hint offers a legal and usually sensible move; it is not proof that a deal can still be won, and following every hint will not necessarily win a game.
Jokers, scores, levels, streaks and statistics exist inside the game only. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything, and they live on your device — if you uninstall the App or clear its storage, they are gone, and we have no copy to restore.
The App is free and is paid for by advertising supplied by Google AdMob: a banner on the game screen, a short video offered when you press the joker button, and a full-screen ad shown after you win a game. The joker video plays only when you choose it.
Advertising never takes a feature away from you. If you decline a video, have no internet connection, or no ad is available, the first joker of a game is granted anyway; a second joker in the same game waits until an ad can be shown. What data advertising involves is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Ads come from Google's network and their content is not written, chosen or reviewed by us. If you see an ad that is inappropriate or misleading, tell us and we will report it.
The App relies on third-party services, including Google Play for distribution and Google AdMob for advertising. Your use of those services may also be governed by Google's terms and policies. These terms are between you and us, not Google, except where the applicable Google Play terms expressly provide otherwise.
The App currently offers no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. Nothing in it costs money. If that ever changes, the price and the terms of any purchase will be shown to you before you buy anything, and this page will be updated first.
Please do not modify the App, tamper with its saved data to falsify statistics, attempt to interfere with the advertising it serves, or redistribute it outside Google Play. None of this harms another player — the game has no multiplayer and no leaderboard — but it may break the App, and a broken installation is not something we can support.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that it works on every device or every version of Android, or that saved games are never lost.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including lost game progress or statistics. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update, change or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. We may also update these terms; the effective date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the App after that means you accept the new version. You may end this agreement whenever you like by uninstalling the App.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live give you rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, those rights continue to apply.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the App. If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may assign these terms if ownership or operation of the App is transferred; you may not transfer your licence to someone else.
